• Serve as client facing project manager on traffic engineering projects with a focus on improving safety and operations. • Develop and manage scope, schedule, and budget for projects and programs. • Provide and present written and verbal updates on the status of projects to clients and internal senior management. • Coordinate with a wide range of subject matter experts including survey, roadway design, and environmental to successfully deliver client projects. • Work with client managers and operational leaders to develop project pursuit strategies and plans. • Utilize knowledge and experience to lead the delivery of planning, design, studies, and operations and maintenance of traffic, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) solutions and products. • Lead project team in the preparation of traffic engineering plans for signal designs, signing and marking designs, conceptual designs for intersections, and/or Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) designs and or planning. • Under leadership of senior program managers, coordinate and interface with clients to discuss technical elements of the project and present analysis results. Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and interns in areas of technical proficiency and consultancy.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering. • Ability to obtain Florida PE within one (1) months of hire. • Must possess a U.S. Driver’s License • Experience with Traffic Analysis and Engineering principles. • Experience in one or more of the following areas: FDOT design standards, ITS design, traffic operations studies, intersection conceptual drafting, safety studies and/or safety analysis, ITS and/or TSMO program operations.
