📋 Description

• Provide advice and counsel to business leaders on legal, regulatory, legislative, compliance, and business issues • Draft, negotiate, review, and interpret various contracts and other legal documents between Ascensus and its clients, partners, vendors, and other third parties • Manage and resolve disputes, including overseeing outside counsel • Handle other day-to-day legal issues arising in a growing and complex business including employment, intellectual property, and corporate governance • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with at least 15 years of experience • Licensed to practice law in at least one state and in good standing • Experience in the financial services and familiarity with ERISA and U.S. data privacy laws is strongly preferred • Law firm (preferably transactional practice) and in-house experience is a plus • Desire to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment • Ability to travel occasionally is required
