📋 Description

• Supports the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations • Own assigned month-end close activities in accordance with the close calendar • Maintain an accurate open-items list throughout close • Drive quality and self-review to minimize rework • Partner with FP&A and Finance leadership to support recurring reporting needs • Coordinate cross-functional close dependencies • Support external audit and review requests • Use and maintain close management tools • Lead a predictable weekly/bi-weekly payment cycle • Ensure an audit-ready approval trail for payments • Monitor aging and stalled items to prevent late payments • Respond to internal and external inquiries with timely acknowledgement • Support design and execution of internal controls over financial reporting • Perform control-related reviews and reconciliations

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • CPA (active or in progress) strongly preferred • Demonstrated ability to deliver close tasks on schedule with high accuracy • Experience leading accounts payable and cash disbursement cycles • Working knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting • Strong stakeholder management skills • Experience with close management tools (e.g., FloQast) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) • Strong Excel skills required • Prior people leadership or team-lead responsibilities preferred.
