• Design responsibility for elements such as pavement, drainage, utilities, lighting/NAVAIDS, security and fuel facilities. • Responsible for project design calculation files, ensuring adequate independent quality control reviews. • Manage the process of compiling and coordinating plans, specifications, cost estimates and pay items. • Coordinate and review drafting and the assembly of plan sets. • Develop and oversee task work plans for assigned team members. • Engage in active team communication. • Organize technical meetings among design staff. • Perform occasional field construction observation, sometimes requiring out-of-town travel. • Active involvement in professional organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required. • Experience with FAA design standards. • P.E. license or planning to obtain license in near future. • Demonstrate advanced use of CADD. • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. • Ability to perform complex analysis and design. • Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
