• Prepares entities' financial statements monthly: Balance Sheet, Statement of Operations, Accounts Receivable Statement, Cash Forecast, Variance Analysis, and Account Analysis. • Prepares journal entries and accruals to make the entities' General Ledger reflect annual operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). • Assists with preparation of support schedules and audit follow-up during year-end external audits. • Prepares analysis of cash receipts and disbursements daily for use by Fiscal Services Management. • Investigates variances from budget on assigned operating accounts and performs detailed General Ledger account analysis. • Assists with reconciliation of physical inventories and prepares inventory statements. • Reviews vendor invoice coding and makes necessary accounting adjustments to ensure correct posting of expenses. • Prepares analysis for departmental requests and assists with schedules utilized by the tax department.
• Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance • 0-2 years’ related work experience required • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications • Working knowledge of Workday Financial Accounting Systems is a plus • Ability to prepare journal entries, accruals, and account analyses • Experience with reconciliations, inventory reconciliation, accounts receivable analysis, and cash forecasting • Ability to assist with external audits and prepare supporting schedules • Influenza (flu) vaccination required as a condition of employment
