• Work cross-functionally to identify, analyse, and mitigate legal risks (while maximising commercial opportunities) related to the introduction of new products and services. • Provide proactive, solution-oriented legal advice and guidance to multiple stakeholders within the Group to enable the development and launch of crypto products and services in a manner that meets regulatory obligations while addressing user needs. • Represent the Group on a variety of topics before regulators, financial partners, users, and other external audiences. • Handle litigation and dispute resolution matters, including managing legal proceedings, drafting legal documents, and advising on settlement strategies. • Review, update, and draft user agreements and other external-facing terms and conditions, leveraging external advisors and providers where appropriate. • Work with Risk and Compliance teams across our global organisation to assess applicable regulations and establish corresponding company standards. • Review and advise on the development of external-facing marketing material, user content, and user experiences. • Select and manage external counsel, as appropriate, for litigation and other legal matters.
• Around 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience practising in-house and/or at a reputable law firm, with a focus on litigation and dispute resolution. • Demonstrated experience handling litigation cases, including regulatory disputes, commercial disputes, or consumer protection matters in an international or cross-border environment. • Ability to provide timely, concise, and business-focused legal advice on payments, consumer protection laws, and litigation risks. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment and tolerate change and ambiguity. • Comfortable operating in grey areas and interpreting/applying the law in unsettled contexts. • Confident self-starter with strong interpersonal and organisational skills, capable of proactively providing sound legal advice, exercising good business judgement, and collaborating effectively with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders. • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Outstanding written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, resolve conflicting priorities effectively, and apply innovative solutions to scale legal support. • Prior product-related legal experience in technology or financial services, and/or experience launching joint product initiatives with strategic partners, is required. • Proficient in both English and Mandarin Chinese. • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Chinese-language word processing.
