• Support the work of the Population and Sustainability program • Create age-appropriate educational resources and classroom activities for K-12 audiences • Develop a Simplify the Holidays program to reduce plastic consumption and waste • Conduct research related to the use of plastics in schools and other K-12 environments • Assist with campaign outreach and dissemination of resources to K-12 educators • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Good verbal and written communication skills • Likes working in collaboration with a diverse group of people • Ability to think creatively and strategically • Experience working with a team and independently • Detail oriented and good time management skills • Excellent organization and computer skills • Strong writing and research skills • A passion for and knowledge of protecting biodiversity • Background in K-12 education (preferred) • Familiarity with K-12 academic standards (preferred) • Experience working in curriculum development (preferred) • Experience communicating about complex issues in simple language (preferred).
