📋 Description
• Leads the procurement and estimating process by coordinating bidding procedures • Ensures bid accuracy, and maintains technical compliance • Key part in securing new project awards through effective negotiation, impactful presentations • Identifies and calculates cost of project safety requirements into bid • Displays personal and professional ethics and complies with and enforces company policies and procedures when bidding projects • Responsible for planning the estimate for and during the pre-bid meeting • Conduct project site visits and review cost/production reports to compare actual cost and plan to estimate
🎯 Requirements
• Four-year construction or engineering degree • Five to seven years of experience as an Estimator or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience in mathematics including algebra and geometry • Emphasis in Renewable Construction – focusing on Solar, Wind and BESS techniques • Advanced knowledge of construction market, estimating strategies, estimating techniques, cost control and proper scheduling of purchases and work • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, cost coding systems
