📋 Description

• Develop HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler calculations for building projects. • Interpret mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes for design application. • Work with NFPA standards to design and check systems. • Size ductwork, plumbing and fire sprinkler distribution systems in building structures. • Use applicable software to draft and model HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler systems. • Generate specifications for HVAC, plumbing and fire system equipment using software tools. • Review HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler drawings/specifications and ensure they meet requirements. • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to achieve project milestones. • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs. • May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.

🎯 Requirements

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of building mechanical engineering or related experience. • Typically certified in the SMS Framework, and progressing through the SMS competencies. • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field or equivalent experience is required. • Has passed or is working towards passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam required for Engineer in Training registration.
