Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Manage instructional programs from home in Minnesota • Consult with learning coaches and students to ensure successful completion of instructional programs • Support the instructional program with web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction • Complete grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences • Develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules • Score assessments, provide feedback on student work, and monitor completion of assignments • Develop knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and support students and parents with additional assistance • Communicate with staff learning specialists to develop alternate enrichment activities • Participate in the organization and administration of the State Testing • Attend field trips and community activities for families

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach Elementary grades in Minnesota • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office programs) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Highly organized and punctual • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events • Ability to work remotely, if necessary • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
