Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Virtually manage instructional programs • Consult regularly with learning coaches and students • Complete all grading, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner • Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction • Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches • Communicate with parents, students and other teachers regularly • Develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules • Keep student records and data up-to-date • Consult with other teachers and staff learning specialists • Participate in the organization and administration of State Testing

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach High School Social Studies in Indiana • Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS, MS Office programs, and Google Suite) • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written • Customer focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment • Team player track record • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for 2-step authentication
