📋 Description

• Prepare corporate income tax workpapers, extension calculations, and quarterly income tax estimates. • Assist with year-end tax compliance activities and supporting various federal, state, and local tax filings. • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, net profit tax returns, and other required tax filings. • Research federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. • Assist with tax audits and responding to requests from governmental agencies. • Reconcile tax-related accrual and balance sheet accounts. • Identify opportunities related to tax credits, exemptions, and process improvements. • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external agencies regarding tax matters. • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Workday, and Avalara to gather information, prepare filings, and support tax reporting activities.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant tax experience; two or more years preferred. • Experience preparing U.S. corporate income tax workpapers and returns. • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. • CPA certification is a plus but not required. • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and reconcile financial data. • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong research skills and the ability to interpret tax regulations and reporting requirements. • A team-oriented mindset, while also being comfortable working independently. • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
