📋 Description

• Support the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, reconciling accounts, and producing accurate financial statements. • Prepare and review account reconciliations and verify accuracy of the general ledger. • Conduct variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate discrepancies. • Interpret contract language affecting Medicaid plans. • Process invoice payments. • Assist with collections of outstanding Medicaid settlements. • Provide documentation and information for internal and external audits. • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis within the controllership organization.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in Microsoft Excel; ability to work with large data sets and build/maintain complex spreadsheets. • 1+ year of experience in accounting or finance with an emphasis on month end close and analysis. • Familiarity with financial systems or reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Sequel, SAP). • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable work. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. • Solid written and verbal communication skills, including ability to summarize findings clearly.
