📋 Description

• Independently develop and maintain the system models for transmission studies including collection, review and/or modification of a variety of electric system parameters: equipment ratings, impedances, contingency sets, protection and control parameters, as well as system topology. • Conducts adequacy assessments and develops options to meet delivery objectives with latitude for independent action and decision making. • Identifies key technical issues and develops solutions. • Represents the department and the company on various industry related committees. • Plans, develops and collaborates in the implementation and management of the life cycle plan for transmission assets. • Communicates clearly and effectively verbally and in writing the results of analyses and action plan. • Trains junior staff in technical analyses and procedures.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical preferred • 5+ plus years of directly related experience • Experience with power system transmission analysis tools such as PSSE, TARA, ASPEN, PSCAD, or other similar analysis software • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python • Knowledge of new technologies including but not limited to photovoltaic solar, electric vehicles, and battery • Knowledge of electrical theory as applied to planning an electric power supply system. • Knowledge of National, State and other planning standards and reliability criteria.
