📋 Description

• Manage workers' compensation defense cases from inception through resolution. • Take depositions and appear before various California WCAB venues as needed. • Handle cases of varying complexity independently. • Develop proactive legal strategies to efficiently resolve claims. • Negotiate and settle cases-in-chief and lien matters. • Draft pleadings, legal motions, reports, and correspondence. • Prepare opening reports, hearing reports, and deposition reports in accordance with client guidelines. • Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide regular case updates. • Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours. • Review legal documents for accuracy, formatting, filing requirements, signatures, service requirements, and compliance with court rules. • Ensure adherence to all client guidelines and deadlines.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of California workers' compensation defense experience (required). • Active license to practice law in California. • Strong litigation, negotiation, and deposition experience. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to independently manage a caseload. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Client-focused with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
