Figure is an AI Robotics company building the world's first commercially viable autonomous humanoid robot. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. β€’ Our humanoid robot, Figure 02, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. β€’ We are looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer to own PCBA-level test development and validation across all our custom electronics. β€’ In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and validating ICT (In-Circuit Test), FCT (Functional Circuit Test), and end-of-line diagnostics for our board builds β€” from prototype through mass production. β€’ This role is highly hands-on and requires regular travel to overseas contract manufacturers (CMs). β€’ You will work closely with electrical engineering, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure all test systems are robust, scalable, and capable of identifying issues before boards ever reach final assembly. β€’ Responsibilities include owning test coverage strategy, designing test fixtures, collaborating with engineering teams, specifying validation test software, leading tests on site at CMs, monitoring test yield data, analyzing failures, and ensuring test processes scale appropriately between EVT and MP.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ 5+ years of experience in PCBA manufacturing test, ideally with high-complexity boards and tight timelines β€’ Hands-on experience with ICT and FCT system design, bed-of-nails fixture development, and board-level debug β€’ Strong understanding of DFT (Design for Testability) and how to collaborate with EE/FW teams early in the design cycle β€’ Experience working directly with overseas CMs and test vendors β€’ Familiarity with test automation frameworks, data collection, and reporting tools β€’ Able to read schematics, probe/debug hardware, and communicate clearly across disciplines β€’ Strong proficiency in writing Python for interfacing with real hardware β€’ Willingness to travel overseas 40% of the time
