📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive title searches and examinations by analyzing public records to determine ownership, chain of title and matters affecting title • Clearly explain title exceptions, requirements, conditions and other matters impacting commercial title and insurability • Identify and assess title risks, liabilities and insurability concerns; perform curative research; recommend solutions to resolve title defects and escalate complex or high risk matters as appropriate • Prepare accurate, detailed and well documented title reports while maintaining organized support documentation • Procure required onsite or electronic records from county offices, courthouses, clerks and other recording entities, as needed • Maintain good housekeeping practices and organized workflow • Stay current on changes in state statutes, regulatory requirements and industry standards

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • 5+ years of commercial title search and exam experience • Advanced analytical, research and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail • Experience handling complex property types, patent searches and high value transactions • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision making ability • Effectively manage time and competing priorities • Customer and solutions focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills • Working knowledge of industry concepts, practices, procedures and associated risks and liabilities • Proficient computer skills, including moderate to advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft applications and other industry-related software required to perform job duties
