• Review database search results (SSN Trace, Nationwide Criminal Database) to determine additional names or searches needed. • Perform criminal record research through various court access systems and public records. Contact courts and verified sources via phone, email, fax, and mail when additional research is required. • Apply company guidelines, federal and jurisdiction-level regulations, and client-specific rules when processing requests. Document all actions taken within internal and client-facing notes. • Compile accurate, compliant consumer reports for Foley clients. • Communicate internally with quality control and other team members to ensure timely, high-quality results. • Communicate externally with customers and vendors as support needs arise. • Contribute ideas to improve processes and collaborate across departments. • Work across numerous platforms, while implementing new tools and strategies to drive the business forward for our customers
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field, or equivalent experience in criminal records research, legal, or court systems. • Previous experience in background screening or related industry (criminal research, investigations, law enforcement). • Strong knowledge of the U.S. criminal justice system and ability to interpret court cases and terminology. • Familiarity with FCRA and state regulations; ability to apply compliance standards. • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based research tools. • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with accuracy.
