• Teaching the course according to the curriculum, content, and outcomes as specified by the Lead Faculty responsible for the course. • Timely assessment and evaluation of student assignments, including exams, quizzes, labs, papers, homework, discussions, simulations, and other activities related to the course, including assessment of overall student mastery of material and subject matter content. • Monitoring and advising students on course-related work, prompt correspondence via email, facilitation of course-related discussions, holding of regular office hours to augment student learning, and other assigned responsibilities corresponding to the faculty teaching assignment. • Demonstrate teaching effectiveness through continuous professional development, contribution of subject matter expertise in courses taught, and dedication to student success. • Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead Faculty.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree • Medical assistant certification (CCMA, CMAA, CMA, RMA) • 2 years working in a clinical role • 1-3 years teaching in a post-secondary health professions program (precepting experience will be considered) • Maintain confidential and sensitive information • Knowledge of higher education regulations, compliance and accrediting agencies • Computer proficiency • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills • Ability to communicate in a professional manner and work effectively with faculty, staff, students and members of the professional community • Excellent multi-tasking skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
