📋 Description
• Conducting or directing critical inspections and providing accurate and concise interpretation of results on gas, steam turbines, and generators utilizing remote inspection systems • Perform limited access inspections of gas or steam turbines and generators • Staying abreast of new technologies and test procedures within the assigned organization • Continually expand inspection qualifications to other segments as required • Collaborate with teams to ensure quality of work and adhere to operational tasks • Must be able to mobilize within 2 hours and live near a major airport
🎯 Requirements
• An AAS Degree or equivalent vocational training in mechanical or non-destructive inspection technology • minimum 3 years of borescope experience, preferably on heavy duty gas turbines • Experience using menu driven inspection applications (MDI) 7FA Quaternary Annulus Cleaning Qualified • Willingness and ability to travel globally on short notice, and for extended periods of time • Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to rent vehicles to support inspection needs • Possess or able to obtain a passport for international travel • Knowledge of design, construction, and maintenance of steam or combustion turbines/generators used in power generation applications • Familiar with operating Mentor Visual iQ Videoprobe, Menu Directed Inspection software. • Experience in a customer service focused organization.
