Guardians of Flushing Bay is a coalition of human-powered boaters, park users, and local residents advocating for healthy, equitably accessible Flushing waterways and coastal lands. They pursue this through family-friendly waterfront programming, community science and stewardship, grassroots organizing, ecosystem repair, and land-use equity work to get people to the water and steward local coastal environments.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the organization on refining core messaging and visual identity. • Create priority visual assets and build a brand messaging guide. • Turn local residents into stewards and visitors into donors. • Work in close coordination with the Executive Director and Community Engagement Manager. • Focus on assessment and strategy building for the first half of the project, testing and implementation for the second half.

🎯 Requirements

• Some Experience • Brief history and summary of your expertise. • Approach to strategic communications: Please tell us about the process and methodology you would go through to support GoFB with this project. • Draft Work Plan with a Proposed Timeline: Deliverables are to be completed by xyz. • Please provide a proposed cost along with a narrative description of what is included in this cost. • Describe your experience for similar requirements and the value that you brought to those assignments. • Please submit three relevant work samples, including at least one writing sample. • Provide at least two references.
