• Manage a caseload of up to 50 students, including students as young as 8th grade, according to the HelloCollege program blueprint and counselor service level agreements, including meeting cadence and support response times. • Guide students and families through multi-year college planning with a focus on academic strategy, extracurricular development, leadership, research, projects, competitions, summer programs, internships, and other niche opportunities that strengthen admissions positioning. • Help Engineering, STEM, and Pre-Med focused students identify meaningful experiences that align with their interests, intended majors, and long-term goals. • Ensure students progress through the HelloCollege curriculum, achieve key milestones, participate and complete the program • Maintain 90% healthy contact rating, 95% retention rate, and a 80% utilization rate • Contribute to efforts to drive referrals, testimonials, consults, and online reviews • Conducts college planning meetings with students and parents via video conference to uncover the unique needs of each family, provide them with college planning guidance, and match them with the right HelloCollege program. • Creates positive and lasting relationships with families • Diligently track all communication and milestones with families in our HelloCollege portal • Facilitate and lead up to four online workshops/month based on your areas of subject matter expertise • Maintain strong knowledge of higher education trends, selective admissions, STEM/Engineering/Pre-Med pathways, summer programs, research opportunities, competitions, and college planning best practices. • Actively participate in team meetings, knowledge sharing, shadowing and mentoring of other team members • Be an active leader in developing a positive company culture and promote company growth
• Part-time availability needed, averaging 25-30 hours per week when caseload is full • Master’s degree or College Counseling certification highly recommended • Experience supporting students pursuing Engineering, STEM, Pre-Med, research, healthcare, or other highly competitive academic pathways is strongly preferred. • Experience helping students achieve admission at Top 25 and Top 50 Universities is required • Ability to work with affluent, high-achieving clientele, providing support and guidance to foster their academic and personal development • Strong understanding of what moves the needle for competitive STEM, Engineering, and Pre-Med applicants, including research, independent projects, competitions, internships, shadowing, leadership, and summer enrichment. • Ability to connect with students and parents from diverse academic, ethnic/racial, and financial backgrounds • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with diverse stakeholders • Strong case management skills: ability to juggle multiple priorities, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks appropriately • Highly knowledgeable about selective and highly selective U.S. colleges and universities nationwide, especially those known for Engineering, STEM, Pre-Med, research, and healthcare pathways. • Proficient technology skills (required) using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and able to quickly learn how to use new programs/systems • Public speaking and event facilitation experience is a plus
