📋 Description

• Underwrite mortgage loan applications in accordance with industry standards, investor requirements, and Heritage Bank loan policy • Manage a pipeline of loans and ensure all documentation meets company guidelines • Provide best-in-class client service through professional communication • Analyze and evaluate loan applications and supporting documentation • Communicate underwriting findings and assist with resolutions

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; BA or BS desired • 3-5 years of mortgage underwriting experience required, ideally with 2 years in FHA/VA loans • FHA Direct Endorsement, VA-SAR, and LAPP certifications desired, but not required • Proficiency with automated underwriting systems • Self-starter with strong work ethic and professionalism • Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills • Proficient computer skills • Detail oriented with excellent decision making and problem-solving ability • Able to work accurately under deadline pressure
