📋 Description
• Review patient charts to verify most recent provider visits • Gather and review relevant clinical information to support refill requests • Prepare and document refill authorization requests using pharmacy technology systems • Ensure all required clinical criteria and documentation are complete prior to pharmacist review • Route completed refill requests to the pharmacist for final verification and processing • Communicate with pharmacists and care team regarding missing information or concerns • Identify potential safety concerns or gaps in care and escalate appropriately • Maintain accurate documentation in the patient record • Work collaboratively as part of a large, remote team
🎯 Requirements
• High School or equivalent is required • Current pharmacy technician certification and/or license applicable to state of practice • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy • 3 years of experience preferred • Refill authorization experience preferred • Familiarity with top 100 most common medications
