📋 Description

• Serve as a technical accounting advisor for management on complex financial transactions and reporting matters • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and produce robust documentation packages • Partner with cross-functional teams on complex accounting transactions and enterprise-wide projects • Liaise with internal and external auditors to support the company’s positions • Prepare and review technical accounting memos and other documentation to support accounting positions • Monitor accounting policies for required updates and compliance • Provide guidance on accurate interpretation and effective implementation of business control processes and policies • Stay abreast of changes in accounting guidance and assess impacts to accounting policies • Clearly communicate accounting guidance and impacts at the appropriate level • Develop effective, collaborative relationships with segment and functional teams • Assist with financial reporting tasks as necessary • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy • Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other corporate reporting initiatives as needed • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior accounting experience • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior accounting experience • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior accounting experience • CPA with active license • Experience in contract accounting, preferably including U.S. Government contracts • Big Four experience with audits of clients that are SEC registrants and/or U.S. Government contractors • Strong technical and financial acumen • Previous experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry • Experience with percentage of completion accounting, including estimates at completion • Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end and manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously • Leveraging technology to enhance data analytics
