• Evaluate Centralized Intake Unit applications to determine eligibility and level of service • Conduct legal research, client interviews, and fact gathering to provide legal advice and recommendations • Educate clients regarding legal options, processes, and potential outcomes • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to serve clients effectively • Assist with daily intake operations and client service delivery • Ensure compliance with Legal Services Corporation (LSC) regulations and recordkeeping requirements • Maintain and develop knowledge of legal issues affecting elders and low-income communities • Support outreach and education efforts within the elder community statewide • Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies and community organizations • Assist in developing intake guidance materials, scripts, and documentation • Participate in AccessLine and ElderAccessLine call support as needed
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school • Licensed and in good standing with the Nebraska State Bar, or admission imminent • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively within a statewide team environment • Commitment to serving low-income and older adult communities • Interest in elder law, public interest law, legal aid, or client-service work (preferred) • Experience working with vulnerable or underserved communities through employment, internships, clinics, externships, volunteer work, or legal practice (preferred) • Demonstrated commitment to public service (preferred) • Bilingual language skills are a plus (preferred)
