📋 Description

• Develop safe and economical structures that fulfill project requirements while adhering to industry codes and standards • Utilize our proprietary software for frame, secondary, bracing, crane, mezzanine, and panel analysis to ensure structural integrity and performance • Work closely with the Detailing Department and other team members to communicate design requirements effectively and ensure seamless project execution • Review and check structural drawings for accuracy • Embrace opportunities to grow and develop as an engineer, collaborating with various teams throughout the division to find innovative solutions and explore unique career paths within our organization

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school • Proficient verbal and written communication in the English language • Strong knowledge of structural building codes: IBC, AISC 360, AISC 341, AISC 358, ASCE7, AISI, etc. • Structural Engineer (S.E.) registration in the United States with the ability to be licensed in Illinois • Resides within the continental United States, availability as followed: Minimum 8 consecutive hours Available from 9 am to 3 pm CST • Ability to travel to home division or job sites as needed. (<10% travel) • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future)
