📋 Description

• Research and develop at least one original, data-focused enterprise story for publication during the internship. • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, insights, and support ongoing editorial projects. • Contribute to data gathering, cleaning, and interpretation from multiple sources, including public records. • Collaborate with reporters and editors to integrate data into news and feature stories and shape story ideas. • Support the creation of data visualizations for stories and special projects.

🎯 Requirements

• Be a recent graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data journalism, communications, or a related field of study. • Experience working with and incorporating data into news or feature stories (academic, internship, or personal projects). • Demonstrate the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data from diverse sources, including public records. • Experience cleaning and organizing complex or messy datasets. • Possess working knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, and/or R. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a strong narrative and visual storytelling ability. • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with editors and reporters.
