• Perform monthly reporting and analysis on USGAAP results and related reporting and disclosures including analysis flux of business results related accounts for month-end close reporting and budget to actual • Prepare annual financial statements with detailed workpapers • Assist with new accounting standards and transaction implementation and agreements: perform detailed research and draft position and implementation memos • Perform contract reviews and coordinate with team for implementation needed • Maintain accounting compliance by understanding current and proposed US GAAP regulations and recommending new procedures especially those related to Insurance industry standards and revenue recognition • Work with external consultants and accounting firms on financial and tax audits including managing and coordinating audit deliverables • Identify operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement, formulate and take action on recommendations in order to scale effectively • Take part in various ad hoc projects and analyses and Finance projects and initiatives as required • Help to manage G/L and other financial systems • Ability to travel if needed
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent • Relevant industry experience or Public accounting, CPA required • 3+ years of financial reporting, public accounting or audit experience • Advanced Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences • Strong understanding of accounting processes and controls preferred • Strong knowledge of and experience working with preparation of USGAAP financial statements • Experience preparing accounting research position papers and designing implementation plans • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the ability to effectively interact with and influence various functional groups throughout the company • Accountable and takes ownership of solving problems and delivering high-quality timely output on assignments • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-moving organization • Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and take ownership of prioritization • Sigma experience is preferred • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as Oracle NetSuite, preferred
