📋 Description

• Support Community-based Early Childhood Continuums Initiative (50%) • Capacity Building and Technical Assistance (40%) • Review Community Engagement plans with Community Facilitators and provide guidance to increase impact • Observe and participate when possible in community events in rural communities and provide technical assistance and feedback to partner staff and community partners • Oversee the coordination and planning of onsite and virtual partner staff trainings • Review population level data to track the effectiveness of community-wide initiatives • Develop action plans for underperforming program sites • Ensure Community Facilitators and partners have access to strong knowledge management tools and resources needed for program implementation, monitoring, sharing practices, and managing daily operations • Support inclusion and accessibility of community meetings and initiatives to ensure that all community events and programs are accessible and welcoming to members of the community, addressing any barriers or challenges they may face. • Provide culturally sensitive support and resources to individuals and families within Continuum communities, recognizing and addressing unique needs and challenges. • Align Save the Children and national partner resources, training and technical assistance to local community needs. • With the ECAS Early Childhood Continuums Lead, convene quarterly Early Childhood Continuums Community of Practice meetings to facilitate sharing of best practices and lessons learned between EC Continuums Communities. • Strengthen community capacity to influence issues concerning children, empowering community members to hold government, schools, businesses and community organizations accountable for policies, programs, and services that directly impact the community. • Coordinate with colleagues and partners to deliver training opportunities to partners across the state in the areas of child development and education. • Provide administrative and logistical support for onsite and remote training and networking events. • Data Collection and Reporting (10%): Support the completion of comprehensive coalition assessments, capturing baselines to measure improvements, identify gaps, and address trends over time. • Assist ECAS in developing, disseminating, and collecting any community, partner and beneficiary surveys. • In collaboration with the ECAS state backbone team, provide information on targets and performance to goals for proposals and reports. • Collect storytelling assets, such as photos, videos, and testimonies. • Coordinate Potential Program Expansion (50%) • Lead in-state networking and partnership development across the early childhood and education sectors, engaging government agencies, schools, and community organizations to surface opportunities and build strategic relationships. • Identify and refine geographic and programmatic partnership priorities to guide the potential expansion strategy, resource allocation, and decision-making. • Conduct landscape and needs assessments to understand community priorities and strengths, service gaps, and alignment with organizational programs and services. • Promote culturally grounded, community-driven approaches by engaging local leaders, elders, and cultural practitioners in exploration and planning. • Monitor relevant state and local policy developments that may influence potential expansion feasibility, funding opportunities, or program design. • Coordinate exploratory site visits, listening sessions, and stakeholder convenings to validate program alignment and deepen understanding of community context. • Partner with Impact & Evidence and Marketing & Growth teams to shape, pursue, and support funding proposals aligned with potential expansion goals. • Collaborate with external experts and colleagues to integrate Native Hawai‘ian perspectives and practices into program design, organizational policies, and partnership approaches.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience • Demonstrated experience in the early childhood and/or education sectors in Hawai‘i with established network of partnerships • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging. • Demonstrated ability to convey a clear understanding of issues related to poverty in rural communities. • Willingness and ability to travel within the state up to 30% of the time. • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite. • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
