• Design and execute underwriting strategies that drive profitable growth while ensuring strong, risk-adjusted returns. • Establish and oversee underwriting guidelines, pricing models, and risk selection standards to ensure consistency and sound decision-making. • Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, underwriting KPIs, and loss trends to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize results. • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of commercial underwriters, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering professional growth. • Conduct quarterly quality assurance audits, assess underwriting accuracy and compliance, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
• 7+ years of experience as an Underwriter in the commercial insurance space. • 5+ years of experience handling coastal catastrophe risks. • 2+ years of experience leading a team of underwriters. • Strong knowledge of commercial lines of business. • Previous experience working as an Underwriter for an MGA or carrier. • Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive strategic initiatives. • Producer license preferred, but not required. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required. • Designated quiet work from home space.
