📋 Description

• Overseeing the day-to-day field operations for large-scale long-haul fiber installation projects • Developing project plans and monitors performance • Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes • Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs • Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project schedules • Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects • Participate in subcontractor, supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations • Set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team • Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents

🎯 Requirements

• 8 plus years of experience in as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent • Knowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipment • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset • Effective Communication and leadership skills • Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices • Strong organizational and planning skills
