Team Rubicon is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing disaster relief and building resilience in vulnerable communities worldwide. The organization operates domestically and internationally, offering disaster response, long-term recovery, and other support services. Team Rubicon is powered by volunteers, known as Greyshirts, who work tirelessly to aid communities affected by various disasters such as hurricanes, wildfires, and floods. Funded by donations from individuals and corporate sponsors, Team Rubicon ensures that disaster survivors receive help free of charge.

📋 Description

• Execute Team Rubicon’s strategy to enhance our ability to respond rapidly and locally to disasters. • Develop and maintain relationships with disaster assistance organizations at the state, county, and city levels. • Support program delivery of the leadership lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, and development of Greyshirt volunteer leaders. • Purchasing and expenses according to the Branch budget plan and approving events in the system. • As needed, provide emergency operations center (EOC) support, and disaster response coordination across relevant agencies. • Provide direct support in coordinating response activities with local, state, federal, and non-governmental agencies. • Assist in developing and implementing disaster response strategies, ensuring resources are deployed efficiently. • Facilitate communication between field operations, the emergency operations center (EOC), and external stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in the military, disaster response, emergency management or first responder fields • Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers • Proficient with technology tools and in remote working for communicating and coordinating with a large network of TR staff members, Greyshirts (volunteers), and external stakeholders • Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired
