• Translate clinical safety priorities into project charters, integrated workplans, timelines, governance routines, and executive-ready updates that support on-time delivery. • Partner with business unit leaders and operational owners to embed safety requirements into care delivery models, workflows, and patient-facing processes. • Applies clinical knowledge, judgement and experience to coordinate clinical event reporting, investigation, escalation, and follow-up workflows by clarifying ownership, maintaining logs, tracking timelines, and ensuring documentation is complete. • Facilitate structured safety reviews leveraging healthcare experience to synthesize themes, document decisions, and track corrective and preventive actions through closure and sustained effectiveness. • Support proactive risk mitigation by reviewing governance report outs, performance summaries, safety trends, and action plans to identify emerging risks and recommended next steps. • Maintain leadership-ready dashboards, logs, and status reports that connect safety program delivery to outcomes, including adverse events, near misses, and corrective action plans. • Drive cross-functional alignment and change support by preparing clear communications, resolving dependencies, and escalating complex questions to appropriate clinical safety, quality, legal, or compliance partners.
• Clinical background, such as RN, PharmD, or similar experience • Must have subsequent state licensure, as applicable • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical safety, patient safety, quality, clinical risk management, or a combination of related experience • Minimum of 3 years of experience applying project management/change management best practices across cross-functional teams or multiple workstreams • Experience supporting large clinical safety, quality, or clinical risk initiatives, including intake/reporting, triage, investigation support, mitigation tracking, and follow-up to closure • Experience utilizing clinical background while facilitating structured safety investigations or proactive risk assessments, such as Root Cause Analysis, Common Cause Analysis, Apparent Cause Analysis, or FMEA • Working knowledge of performance improvement methods and systems-based approaches to care delivery, such as Lean or Six Sigma concepts • Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, collaboration, and change support skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment. • Preferred Qualifications Patient safety, quality, or project management certification, such as CPPS, CPHQ, PMP, or equivalent demonstrated experience. • Experience coaching or mentoring project team members and driving consistent execution practices across multidisciplinary teams.
