📋 Description
• Lead core accounting activities, including general ledger, revenue accounting, cost tracking, and monthly close • Maintain and enforce accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP • Own the monthly and quarterly close process, including timelines, deliverables, and reviews • Ensure balance sheet integrity through reconciliations and account analysis • Deliver accurate and timely financial statements and management reporting • Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 • Ensure accurate accounting for event costs, vendor expenses, staffing costs, and client billing • Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships • Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting • Manage and develop the accounting team with clear goals and expectations
🎯 Requirements
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles; experience in staffing, marketing, or service-based environments preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606; ERP experience (NetSuite or similar) preferred • Proven ability to improve close processes, strengthen controls, and implement efficient accounting workflows • Treats accounting as a business tool that drives performance and decision-making • Able to clearly explain financial results to both finance and non-finance stakeholders • Strong track record of working effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams
