• Perform ground-based field investigations for migratory bird surveys and any necessary permitting with state/local agencies. • Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting scientific data. • Assist in preparing reports in support of projects, including protected species and natural habitat assessments, environmental impacts, and biological evaluations. • Perform routine and sometimes complex tasks related to field data collection, including preparing and transcribing field notes. • Ability to conduct a preliminary screening of listed and/or proposed threatened and endangered species and critical habitat. • Reviewing publicly available databases such as the National Wetlands Inventory and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Maps. • Phase I ESA responsibilities include conducting site visits of wireless communications facilities and commercial properties. • NEPA responsibilities include conducting site visits of proposed wireless communications facilities.
