📋 Description

• Teach assigned courses in the Spanish California Bilingual Authorization program in an online format. • Facilitate engaging, student-centered learning experiences for adult candidates preparing for bilingual authorization. • Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, discussions, lesson designs, reflections, and performance-based assessments. • Model effective professional practices in teaching and learning, including culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy, biliteracy development, and cross-linguistic transfer. • Collaborate with program leadership and faculty to support course quality, candidate success, and continuous program improvement. • Maintain regular communication with students and respond to student questions in a timely and professional manner. • Participate in program-related meetings, training, or calibration activities as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Current knowledge of the content area related to bilingual education, Spanish-English bilingual instruction, biliteracy, language acquisition, and/or teacher education. • Knowledge of the current context of public schooling, including California-adopted P-12 content standards, curriculum frameworks, and accountability systems. • Knowledge of diversity in society, including diverse abilities, culture, language, ethnicity, and gender orientation. • Evidence of effective professional practices in teaching and learning, scholarship, and service. • Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish and English. • Experience teaching in bilingual, dual language, Spanish immersion, heritage language, or multilingual education settings. • Strong communication, organization, and technology skills appropriate for online teaching. • Commitment to equity, linguistic diversity, and the preparation of effective bilingual educators.
