📋 Description

• Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders • Create and update individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances • Meet with patients regularly to provide services and treatment, and to adjust treatment plans as necessary • Coordinate and arrange for services needed for each individual client • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress • Conduct group therapy sessions according to program schedule • Involve and advise family members when appropriate • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality • Communicate regularly with outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care • Attend weekly staff meetings to consult on individual cases • Attend weekly treatment team meetings to consult with clients about individual progress • Create weekly individualized therapeutic and experiential opportunities for clients and communicate them to patients • Conduct concurrent insurance reviews for individual clients • Engage in ongoing advocacy work for mental health parity • Engage in community based speaking opportunities to increase eating disorder awareness • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field • Must be fully licensed and can work without supervision • Able to get licensure in other states when asked • Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing • Experience treating clients with Eating Disorders • Ability to demonstrate understanding of a variety of models and theories of eating disorders, trauma, mental illness, and related issues • Knowledge of philosophies, practices, policies and outcomes of models of treatment, recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for dually diagnosed populations • Understanding of diagnostic criteria for co-occurring conditions and ability to conceptualize modalities and placement criteria within the continuum of care • Understanding of diverse cultures and gender specific issues and ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into practice settings • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently
