📋 Description

• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements, including customer, vendor, partnership, and strategic transactions. • Serve as the primary legal partner to the CFO, ensuring contracts align with revenue recognition, billing, risk allocation, and operational realities. • Independently negotiate against sophisticated counterparties, including Fortune 500 companies and global luxury and consumer brands. • Support global M&A activity, including due diligence, transaction execution, and post-acquisition integration. • Advise the CFO and executive team on legal risk, deal structure, and strategic tradeoffs in high-stakes negotiations. • Develop pragmatic, business-forward solutions that balance legal rigor with speed and growth. • Manage and coordinate outsourced legal counsel, including international firms and specialized advisors. • Ensure high-quality, cost-effective legal support across jurisdictions. • Build scalable processes for contract review, escalation, and risk management. • Help design and improve contract templates, playbooks, and internal processes to support rapid growth.

🎯 Requirements

• A J.D. from a highly regarded law school. • 4-8 years of total legal experience, including: • 2+ years at a top-tier law firm (e.g., Am Law 20–30 or equivalent), ideally with exposure to high-stakes corporate or commercial work. • 2+ years of in-house experience at a fast-growing technology or global company, with direct ownership of complex agreements. • Demonstrated ability to negotiate confidently with senior legal and business stakeholders. • Strong judgment and political acumen—you understand how decisions land across finance, sales, product, and leadership. • Experience managing external counsel and navigating cross-border or multi-jurisdictional matters. • A bias toward action, ownership, and continuous learning.
