📋 Description

• Develop structural designs and calculations for commercial building projects across multiple U.S. states. • Design and analyze cold-formed metal framing (CFMF) systems for a variety of commercial applications. • Work on structural components including walls, wall openings, jambs, headers, sills, built-up beams, shear walls, floor joists, and roof joists. • Perform structural analysis and design using engineering software as well as manual calculations when required. • Interpret and apply building codes and structural standards, including IBC and ASCE 7. • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure project accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. • Review construction documents and engineering drawings for completeness and precision. • Utilize Bluebeam and AutoCAD to support project execution and documentation. • Ensure structural systems maintain proper gravity and lateral load path performance.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience designing commercial buildings. • Previous experience working on commercial projects within the United States. • Strong understanding of gravity and lateral load paths in commercial structures. • Experience applying IBC and ASCE 7 standards. • Ability to independently complete structural analysis and engineering calculations. • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English. • Proficiency with Bluebeam software. • Ability to use fundamental AutoCAD functions. • Experience working remotely in collaborative engineering environments. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills. • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple projects. • Experience with structural engineering software for member and connection design. • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
