Descrição

• Develop packet forwarding engine and system software for complex networking ASICs • Write functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and production code • Implement packet forwarding engine and system software using C, C++, and Python • Use, test, and debug vendor-provided software libraries for packet forwarding engine and hardware components • Develop and execute automated tests; debug and fix issues found • Bring up new hardware and develop features requiring hardware forwarding support, including low-level hardware drivers • Collaborate with engineers on larger software and system software problems • Analyze customer network problems and provide fixes through releases or patches • Work with hardware teams and vendors to bring up new systems • Design and develop validation software for new packet forwarding ASICs and hardware components • Analyze system test issues and provide fixes • Mentor new and junior engineers • Review and contribute to teammates’ specifications and implementations • Create, update, and report implementation and debugging schedules to the project lead • Own projects from definition through deployment and ensure deliverable quality

🎯 Requisitos

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering plus 8 years of experience, or MS plus 6 years, or Ph.D. plus 3 years, or equivalent work experience • Experience or knowledge in C or C++ • Knowledge of UNIX or Linux • Understanding of IP networking or distributed systems • Applied understanding of software engineering principles • Strong problem solving and software troubleshooting skills • Ability to design and independently implement solutions to small-sized problems • Ability to work on a small team solving medium-sized problems with limited oversight
