Descrição

• Hire, onboard, coach, and retain the Solutions Engineering team • Establish technical quality standards for demos, trial plans, site assessments, and customer-facing documentation • Own Solutions Engineering capacity and resource allocation across the East majors segment • Own technical wins across the East majors portfolio, including multi-site and citywide programs • Serve as senior technical escalation point for critical pursuits, deployments, and customer issues • Partner with Sales leadership on pipeline, forecasting, account planning, and land-and-expand motions • Own site assessment quality and verify dock locations before deployment • Set standards for proofs of concept tied to active opportunities and measurable operational value • Guide integrations and airspace strategy involving CAD, dispatch, video and evidence management, streaming platforms, BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and docked operations • Maintain command of public sector procurement paths, cooperative contracts, grant-funded programs, and public sector buying cycles • Represent the aggregated customer voice to Product and Engineering • Build enablement content, reference architectures, and reusable technical assets • Maintain first-hand product knowledge through frequent hands-on use • Report to the Director, Solutions Engineering – SLED

🎯 Requisitos

• 5+ years of relevant technical experience, including customer-facing technical experience in solutions engineering, field engineering, or applications engineering • 1+ years leading a technical team, formally or as a technical lead with hiring and mentorship responsibility • Strong understanding of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance • Understanding of Drone as First Responder concepts of operation and dock-based remote operations • Working knowledge of Public Safety technologies, including CAD, VMS, and related software platforms • Track record of hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining technical people • Experience operating inside a Sales organization, including owning a quota and deal strategy • Excellent written and verbal communication • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided • Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for certain positions • Prior public safety service, Drone as First Responder program experience, grant funding/cooperative purchasing familiarity, Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, and technical-team scaling experience are nice to have
