📋 Description

• Assist the project manager/interior designer in creating and implementing aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe interior design concepts • Conduct on-site needs assessments and site surveys • Inventory furniture and carry out space-planning studies • Participate in developing 3D conceptual drawings, millwork drawings, and technical construction drawings • Participate in developing functional and technical programs or defining project requirements • Participate in preparing technical specifications • Participate in potential, feasibility, and cost-estimation studies • Apply applicable regulations to projects • Calculate areas and research products, materials, and color schemes • Select furniture, window treatments, and accessories • Prepare, print, and issue drawings • Participate in construction-site supervision during the construction phase • Review shop drawings, addenda, and site instructions • Participate in meetings • Maintain and develop professional knowledge and skills • Perform other related duties

🎯 Requirements

• University degree or college diploma (DEC) in Interior Design • APDIQ membership, or commitment to join within six months of starting the position • Fluency in spoken and written French and English • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit® and Microsoft Office, with a minimum of 30 hours of training • Knowledge of the full range of interior design project delivery processes • Knowledge of technical construction and millwork details • Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework governing construction, including the CCQ and NBC • Strong interpersonal skills, respect for others, and a positive, proactive, and constructive attitude • Team-oriented mindset • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously • Sense of responsibility and professional demeanor • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, critical thinking, and a comprehensive view of projects • Proactivity, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a solutions-oriented approach • Versatility, initiative, and attention to detail • Professional experience in interior design, an internship, student work experience, or other professional experience (an asset) • University degree or college diploma (DEC) in Architecture (an asset) • LEED or WELL training or accreditation (an asset)
