a2z Radiology AI is a medical imaging AI company that builds FDA-cleared software to triage urgent findings on CT scans. Their current commercial product is a single foundation model that analyzes abdomen-pelvis CT studies and concurrently detects and reprioritizes seven urgent conditions (free air, small bowel obstruction, hydronephrosis, AAA, cholecystitis, diverticulitis, pancreatitis) to surface critical studies at the top of the radiology worklist. The system has been validated across multiple clinical sites and CT vendors, integrates with existing workflow, offers pilots run on a customer’s historical studies, and is extending work into broader CT coverage and image-to-report research.

🎯 Requirements

• You reach for PyTorch the way most people reach for a notebook: custom architectures, training loops, distributed training • You understand why a loss or an architecture works, not just how to call it • You design and run your own experiments without waiting to be told • You care about rigor and reproducibility, because these models carry clinical weight • Helpful, not required • Medical imaging, 3D, or volumetric data • Vision-language models or self-supervised learning • DICOM, CT, or radiology background • A PhD or publications (a real plus, never a gate)
