• Promote awareness, understanding, and adoption of AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices • Establish and maintain an inventory of statistical, machine learning, AI, and GenAI models, including ownership, risk ratings, and model metadata • Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, business impact, and usage • Identify emerging risks associated with AI and model activities • Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, processes, controls, policies, standards, and procedures • Monitor model performance, governance controls, KRIs, and compliance with policies and standards • Support model validation and testing by defining scope, assessing results, documenting findings, and communicating recommendations • Participate in audits, peer reviews, governance reviews, and risk assessments • Develop reporting, metrics, and executive-level insights on AI governance, model risk, control effectiveness, and concerns • Partner with internal teams, Enterprise Risk, auditors, and external suppliers to maintain governance documentation and address risks • Monitor evolving regulatory and Department of Insurance expectations related to AI and model risk • Improve, automate, and streamline AI governance processes, tools, and controls • Evaluate governance processes and tools, resolve issues, and recommend improvements • Travel as needed for divisional, team, and other in-person meetings
• 4+ years of experience in Model risk management related practices, risk, and audit • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or a related field • Four years of work experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit, information management can be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience • Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles • Knowledge of privacy, security, and AI Model governance standards • Ability to author and communicate technical and business information in various formats • Ability to explain complex and/or technical AI Model governance topics • Good written and verbal skills • Strong strategic, interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills • Experience deploying AI Model governance and Model Risk programs across a large enterprise • Experience establishing, enforcing, and monitoring AI Model Governance policies, standards, and controls • Experience in AI ethics, governance, compliance, or related roles • Knowledge of AI governance principles, ethical considerations, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks such as NIST • Understanding of bias testing and remediation for machine learning and generative AI models • General understanding of risk and compliance principles applied to AI Model Governance and data management solutions • Ability to lead and influence change within complex organizational structures • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization • Certification in Model Risk Management or similar is preferred • Hands-on experience with data management tools such as Collibra or similar tools is preferred • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the United States • Must not require current or future immigration support or visa sponsorship
