📋 Description

• Support AAPC’s certification exam development initiatives through the creation, review, maintenance, and validation of credentialing assessments and related exam products • Collaborate with subject matter experts, exam committees, and internal stakeholders to ensure certification exams align with industry standards • Develop and maintain certification exam items that assess real-world healthcare knowledge and skills • Support the creation of practice exams, study guides, courses, and additional educational resources • Conduct technical and quality reviews of exam and educational content • Lead and mentor Exam Development Committees and exam item authors • Build and maintain exam competency maps and certification blueprints • Coordinate beta testing and support item validation efforts • Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives and team collaboration sessions • Assist with additional projects and strategic initiatives as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Active coding certification from a recognized organization (e.g., AAPC or AHIMA) • Strong understanding of medical coding, billing, auditing, compliance, or revenue cycle operations • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities • Experience collaborating across technical and nontechnical teams • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products • Experience working in a coding or billing environment preferred • Experience in national exam item writing preferred • Experience in healthcare education, credentialing, or certification preferred • Familiarity with psychometrics, exam development, or adult learning principles preferred
