📋 Description

• Perform identification and inspection of trees along utility lines • Document work using handheld computers and GIS-integrated software • Serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers • Balance safety, budgetary, and community-relations concerns • Maintain personal and team safety as the primary focus • Work on short-term projects, quick start-ups, storm work, and contract position coverage across the country • Travel extensively for 6 to 8 weeks at a time • Manage a geographical area for vegetation-related activities • Work independently in dynamic terrain and weather conditions

🎯 Requirements

• 2-year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science, or a closely related field, or high school diploma/GED plus 2 years of Utility Vegetation Management or related experience • High school diploma/GED requirement may be waived with 5 years of UVM experience • Experience and willingness to work outdoors in all weather and dynamic terrain • Strong tree identification preferred • Experience in utility vegetation management preferred • ISA Certified Arborist preferred but not required • Pesticide certification preferred but not required • Ability to travel extensively, 6 to 8 weeks at a time • Valid driver license required • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite • Experience with GIS-integrated data collection software/hardware preferred • Self-motivated, organized, and production-oriented • Comfortable working independently and managing a geographical area for vegetation-related activities • Successful pre-employment drug screen and background check required
