📋 Description

• Lead enterprise-wide Procurement strategy across Spend Visibility, Stakeholder Engagement, Sourcing Strategies, Organizational Design, Performance Measurement, and Policy, Process and Systems • Adapt or improve Advarra’s Procurement and Source-to-Pay capabilities • Own Sourcing and Buying activities within Advarra’s Source-to-Pay process • Design, implement, and oversee cross-functional vendor onboarding workflows • Set and lead Strategic Sourcing across seven major spending categories • Primarily source Technology and Business Services, and secondarily Travel, Marketing, and Operations categories • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to award business to the lowest qualified vendors • Track value realized from Strategic Sourcing and report it regularly to Advarra leadership • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize the vendor onboarding experience • Build and lead a Procurement team • Hire, manage, train, mentor, and develop procurement professionals • Own procurement governance, policy, and the multi-year roadmap • Lead a procurement steering committee responsible for prioritization and escalation with executive leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, engineering, technology, or similar • Five or more years of experience in Procurement as a Category Manager, with experience sourcing Technology and Business Services • Professional negotiation experience and training to lead effective vendor negotiations with new or renewing vendors • Experience with a mature Source-to-Pay Process enabled by systems such as ERPs, Spend Visibility Tools, and Contract Lifecycle Management tools • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), or similar designation • Willingness to challenge the status quo and current vendor relationships • High emotional intelligence, tact, and composure when working with internal stakeholders and vendor representatives • Talent for data analytics, master data management, and information presentation to organize and track vendor spend and master data and measure and report procurement value • Experience working across functions such as Marketing, Human Resources, Technology, and Operations • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a stationary workstation • Ability to regularly carry, raise, and lower objects up to 10 lbs. • Ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions • Ability to focus attention on tasks and responsibilities • Verbal communication, listening and understanding, responding, and speaking • Candidates must work remotely in the United States
