📋 Description

• Oversee colocation and hyper-scale data center projects from site due diligence, campus planning, conceptual/schematic/detailed design through construction documents and construction administration • Lead data center due diligence and design teams across architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, fire protection, ICT, and BMS/EPMS disciplines • Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans • Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders • Proactively manage and communicate project changes within AECOM and to clients • Identify problems early and develop creative solutions • Communicate project updates to stakeholders and resolve outstanding issues • Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects • Develop trusting relationships with client stakeholders and buyers • Travel occasionally for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, and other business-critical activities • Collaborate with global AECOM teams on high-profile, fast-paced data center projects • Participate in a hands-on, client-facing role with opportunities for career mobility

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, plus ten (10) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Architecture License preferred • Master’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred • 12 years of relevant experience in design and/or project management preferred • Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred • Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional preferred • Active or recent leadership in a data center and mission-critical trade organization preferred • 12 years in colocation and/or hyper-scale data center design management and engineering preferred • Excellent written and oral communication • Ability to work in dynamic, time-sensitive situations with minimal oversight • Team leadership skills • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills • Eligible to work in the United States • Permanent residency sponsorship is available for current H-1B visa holders in the United States
