📋 Description

• Design automation and SCADA systems for mechanical and electrical systems for complex data center and mission critical infrastructure projects • Coordinate with mechanical designers to develop control sequences, diagrams, and points lists • Coordinate with electrical designers on network architectures and points lists for electrical distribution and conditioning systems • Coordinate with ICT designers on structured Ethernet cabling interfaces • Design resilient OT networks using Ethernet and serial networks with wireless, fiber, and copper media • Develop basis of design for BAS, PLC, and PMS controllers, instrumentation, and software, including datasheets • Develop and tailor controls, instrumentation, cybersecurity, and power monitoring technical specifications • Apply modern control system protocols and network requirements • Verify compliance with US codes and engineering standards • Work with templated models, tracking and justifying changes from client models • Coordinate with other disciplines for cohesive designs • Work with global AECOM teams on high-profile data center projects • Manage project schedules and budgets in a hands-on, client-facing role

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Four years of work experience as an Instrumentation and Control Engineer (I&C) Engineer or controls contractor creating controls submittals • Experience with BAS and PLC control system platforms • Experience with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (PMS/EPMS) • Demonstrated experience with colocation and hyperscale data center projects • Experience with data center or other mission critical environments • Experience with US codes and standards • Experience with Operational Technology Networks • Experience with SCADA platforms and specifying technical cybersecurity requirements • Familiarity with BAS, EPMS, and PLC protocols, including Modbus, BACnet, and EtherNet/IP • Ability to verify compliance with applicable US codes and engineering standards/practices • Ability to work flexible hours to attend project meetings/calls • Ability to schedule and meet budget expectations, multitask, adapt to project deadlines, and work in a collaborative environment • Sponsorship is available for this role
